Description
TESAMORELIN
Visceral Adipose Tissue & GHRH Research
Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) that stimulates the body’s growth-hormone axis.
It has been extensively studied for its ability to influence visceral adipose tissue, particularly abdominal visceral fat, in specific clinical populations.
Tesamorelin has an FDA-approved indication for reducing excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV and lipodystrophy. Its approved indication is specific and should not be generalized to ordinary weight loss or cosmetic use.
Research Focus: GHRH signaling • Visceral adipose tissue • Growth-hormone physiology • Metabolic research
Research Status: FDA-approved prescription medication for a specific medical indication.
